University Area CDC Holds Free Seventh Annual Prodigy Turn Up Dance Battle

Seventh Annual Prodigy Turn Up Dance Battle

WHO:       University Area CDC (Community Development Corporation)

WHAT:     Prodigy® Turn Up Dance Battle

WHEN:     Saturday, June 29 (Registration 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.; Dance Battle 12 to 4 p.m.)

WHERE:   University Area Community Center, 14013 N. 22nd St., Tampa 33613

DETAILS:  Children and youth ages six to 18 are invited to compete for prizes in the Seventh Annual Prodigy® Turn Up Dance Battle. Solo and group battles will be held, as well as an All Styles Event.

Participation is free. Pre-registration is required at UACDC.org/Prodigy. Questions can be answered by calling Mike Trepper at 813.558.5212 ext. 313 and by emailing Mike.Trepper@UACDC.org. 

The Prodigy® Cultural Arts Program uses an innovative approach to empower, educate and enable at-risk youth, providing a doorway to a better world. Youth ages five to 18 years of age experience performing and visual arts, taught as a tool for self-expression, to learn communication, exploration, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills. Established in 2000, Prodigy® is achieving its mission of transforming young lives and now reaches across 10 counties.

Serving the community for more than 20 years, University Area CDC (Community Development Corporation) provides support for thousands of Tampa residents through youth programs, adult education and resource assistance.
