The Florida Tap Dance Project will be flowing in the Dunedin “Bermuda” Triangle at the Dunedin House of Beer as Kayla J. Cowart, the Tap Girl of Florida, host “Tap on Tap”, the ultimate Tap Dance Improv and Tap Dance Jam Session. Join the Dunedin Tap Dance Festival when the Dunedin House of Beer authentic beer taps collide with the tap shoes of Florida’s Tap Dance Ambassadors.
A community of rhythm and inspiration; during Tap On Tap you will make friends and come away with a new understanding of tap dance and its power to bring people together. The Tap Dance Improv and Tap Dance Jam Session is the kick-off event and prelude to the 2nd Annual Dunedin Tap Dance Festival. Kayla prides herself on the inclusive nature of the community festivities. The Festival is not an elitist event, but one for all ages and abilities to enjoy being immersed in the world of tap dance.
A fun and family friendly occasion, the Dunedin House of Beer has something for all tap dance families and tap dance supporters. A Taproom that includes some of the best local craft beer in town, dart boards and pool tables for Tap Dads. Activities for Tap Kids that includes pin ball machines, board games and gigantic Connect 4s. Last but not least, the Dunedin House of Beer offers proudly poured wine for Tap Moms that just want to kick back on the patio to watch the tap dance performances.
The Tap Girl of Florida is shifting the beat in Tampa Bay. Tap on Tap is just one example of how the Florida Tap Dance Project is elevating the art and culture in our performing arts community, as it weaves tap dancing into the fabric of our local dance industry. You don’t want to miss this laid-back event that includes some of the best local tap dance talent and tap beer in town in an exciting and entertaining experience that will set the tempo for a weekend filled with pulsating rhythm.
During the Tap Dance Jam Session observers will have an opportunity to see Florida’s rhythm in its rarest form and local dancers will be able to connect their taps to some of the hippest and hottest tap dance talent in the State of Florida – the Tap Dance Ambassadors of Florida. The Improv and Tap Dance Jam Session is the social networking event of the year for Tampa Bay’s tap dance community. This is not a tap dance contest or competition, just a relaxing night and a chance for tap dancers to connect, perform, and network.
Dust off your tap shoes and bring your boozy rhythm to the Dunedin House of Beer on Friday, September 13, 2019, from 7:00 PM -9:30 PM. All tap dancers are welcome, so bring a friend and your favorite shuffles for an evening of intoxicating rhythm. Tap on Tap is free for all dancers and open to the public at no cost.
