Greg Zolkos, president and CEO of Tampa-based Atlas Professional Services, has joined the Jameis Winston’s Dream Forever Foundation executive board as a member and technology advisor.
Jameis Winston’s Dream Forever Foundation is dedicated to impacting the lives of financially disadvantaged children and youth through encouragement, opportunities and resources to develop and achieve their dreams. The foundation creates Dream Rooms, new state-of-the-art technology centers, in financially disadvantaged Title I schools.
“As a technology advisor for the foundation, my goals will be to help reduce technology costs of the Dream Rooms, help set up most of the technology in them, and have our team from Atlas spend time onsite, mentoring and training the kids,” said Zolkos.
Under Zolkos’s leadership, Atlas Professional Services is one of Tampa Bay’s fastest-growing companies and a leading IT support provider.
Dream Rooms are designed to expand personal learning opportunities and provide career exploration for students. They include a “makerspace” where students prototype new product ideas using a variety of tools and materials such as software, 3D printers, electronics, robotics and more.
The foundation unveiled its first Dream Room at Alexander Elementary School in Tampa in April 2018. The next Dream Room is tentatively scheduled to open this fall.
