WHAT: University Area CDC presents Bike Rodeo 2019
WHEN: Friday, May 17, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
WHERE: University Area Community Center, 14013 N. 22nd St., Tampa, FL 33613
DETAILS: In partnership with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and Florida Traffic & Bicycle Safety Education Program will present Bike Rodeo 2019, a free adult education workshop to instruct others how to hold a “bike rodeo.”
Instructor Lucy Gonzalez Barr will present “train the trainer” Bicycle Rodeo Education Workshops, such as:
- Pedestrian Lessons
- Indoor Bike Lessons (12 hazards, bicycle laws, ABC quick check and bike fit)
- Helmet activities and fit practice
- On-bike skills practice
Free bicycle helmets will be given to participants, and an optional Neighborhood Ride will be held.
