LAKELAND, Fla., May 8, 2019 – Several awards were presented during the Florida Public Relations Association’s Dick Pope/Polk County chapter meeting April 17, 2019. A summary of achievements was presented by chapter Image Awards chair, Cindy Rodriguez and chapter president, Joe McLeod.
FPRA Local Image Awards
Joe McLeod and Chad McLeod, McLeod Communications, received a 2019 Local Image Award for a video the agency developed for the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches called Evan’s Story. The video – designed to educate potential donors about the mission of the Youth Ranches and inspire people to make donations – helped the organization raise more than $60,000 during the 4th quarter of the year. The entry also received a Judges’ Award, presented to entries that achieve maximum results while using a minimum amount of money. The FPRA Local Image Award is presented to the top-scoring entry in each category if the entry meets predetermined criteria of excellence set by the judges. This year’s entries were judged by the Tampa Bay FPRA Chapter.
The FPRA Local Image Awards competition is the precursor to FPRA’s Golden Image Awards. Conducted annually, the Local Image Awards competition provides public relations practitioners an excellent platform to be recognized in their home markets for their outstanding public relations tools and programs. The Local Image Awards competition also gives entrants insights for entering their work, if they choose, into FPRA’s statewide competition: the Golden Image Awards. The deadline to enter the Golden Image Awards is May 20, 2019. https://fpra.secure-platform.com/a/organizations/main/home
