New Port Richey, Florida (May 7, 2019) – Medical Center of Trinity announces that it will celebrate May as Mental Health Awareness Month by turning its Behavioral Health Center green for the month. Medical Center of Trinity’s Behavioral Health Center is located at 5637 Marine Parkway in New Port Richey, Florida 34652. It will use the month of May to call awareness to the many symptoms of deteriorating mental health. “Many people struggle with mental health problems, but find it difficult to start addressing these concerns because they don’t really know what’s going on or how to describe what’s happening in their minds,” said Elizabeth Statzer, Director of Behavioral Health Outreach.
Medical Center of Trinity asked the public to be aware of the following symptoms:
- Changes in energy level and sleep patterns
- Changes in appetite, eating habits or weight
- Frequent thoughts of death or suicide
- Loss of interest or pleasure in activities
- Noticeable restlessness or irritability
- Feeling sad, empty, hopeless, worthless, or guilty
- Difficulties with concentration or decision making
Admissions at Medical Center of Trinity are accepted seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Treatment may be covered by insurance plans. Preadmission screenings, insurance verification and information are available by calling the Access Response Center at 844-423-4283.
