Pay What You Wish to visit The Florida Holocaust Museum on May 22nd |
May 8, 2019 [St. Petersburg, FL] – The Florida Holocaust Museum would like to welcome the community to celebrate the life of its founder, Walter P. Loebenberg. A public Celebration of Life for Walter will be held at The Florida Holocaust Museum (The FHM) on Wednesday, May 22nd at 3:30 p.m. Walter’s family chose this date as it would have been his 95th birthday. Additionally, in honor of Walter’s memory, admission to the Museum will be Pay What You Wish all day on May 22nd. Walter was adored by his family and beloved in the community. His Celebration of Life will be an opportunity for those who felt connected to Walter to share their memories and thoughts. The FHM is asking the community to submit photographs, letters, and short 1-minute videos for the Museum to compile and include during Walter’s Celebration of Life and then give to his family. The FHM was established by Walter and his wife, Edie, with the help of other businesspeople and community leaders. The Museum is the result of Loebenberg’s remarkable journey and vision.
