
Hudson, Florida (April 30, 2019) – Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point is proud to announce the selection of their 2018 Female and Male Volunteer of the Year Award recipients. The volunteers of the year are Diane Ricca and Jose Pasqual.
Diane Ricca has been volunteering at Bayonet Point for over 12 years and has accumulated 42,500 hours of service to the hospital. She has a reputation as a humble individual with a winning, positive personality. “These traits have made her endearing to her peers and to the Bayonet Point staff personnel,” says Donna Owen, Director of Volunteer & Pastoral Care. “Her pleasant attitude allows her to show genuine compassion and understanding of the needs that our patients and guests require,” she added. Diane has served as chairperson for the volunteer gift shop. She is also recipient of the Frist Volunteer Humanitarian Award in 2014. She sits on a variety of different committees for the Volunteer Association and has served as secretary of the Suncoast Health & Education Foundation.
Jose Pasqual has been a courier at Bayonet Point for over eight years with over 4,000 hours of service. He has a reputation for greeting everyone he meets with a cheerful smile and pleasant manner. “Jose has outgoing, pleasant personality that is always welcome by patients, visitors, staff and fellow workers,” said Donna Owen. “He is dedicated, and his service here represents one who is concerned for the comfort and welfare of others,” she added. Jose’s volunteer duties extend beyond his courier assignment as he commits his time to serving on the volunteer awards committee and he has been a recipient of the Star Award for 2014. “We have in Jose an individual who has served our Volunteer Association with pride and has been a true asset to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point,” she added.
