WHAT: Passover Celebration for students
WHEN: Wednesday, April 17, 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
WHERE: Beth Am, 2030 W. Fletcher Ave. Tampa 33612
DETAILS: Students at Hillel Academy begin the celebration of Passover with many fun and traditional activities, including an experiential Seder where they travel from station to station learning about different parts of the Passover story.
Students will sing traditional songs and participate in Passover Seder rituals.
All the Seder customs will be included, such as telling the story of the Jews’ exodus from Egypt, discussion of the story, drinking four cups of wine (grape juice, in this case), eating matzah and partaking of symbolic foods placed on the Passover Seder Plate in celebration of freedom.[3] The Seder is performed similarly by Jews around the globe.
