SARASOTA, Fla. (April 5, 2019) – The application process is now open for the 2nd Annual Bogati Urn Company Scholarship Fund. The scholarship will provide funeral service or mortuary science program students with financial awards ranging from $500 to $2,500 per school year.
“Last year’s inaugural scholarship award was a huge success with a total of 39 students from 15 different funeral service or mortuary science programs in 14 states applying, and five recipients awarded for a combined total of nearly $5,000,” said Andrea Bogard LeBlanc. “We’ve been looking forward to working through the process again, and hope to see even more applicants this year.”
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be U.S. citizens who have already completed one or more terms of study in funeral service or mortuary science education. To be considered for a full award, students should have at least one term or semester remaining in his/her program. Students with less than a full term of study remaining will be considered for partial awards.
In addition to these requirements, students must complete all forms and follow all procedures as outlined online at: https://bogatiurns.com/scholarshipapplicationinfo/. The deadline for consideration is July 31, 2019. Students may apply once per calendar year.
If chosen, the award will be applied directly to the winning student’s tuition charges for the Fall 2019 term and can be used for tuition, books, or other program required supply costs.
“We stand by all the ways we give back as a company, but this effort is really special to the entire Bogati Urns team,” Bogard LeBlanc said. “The process lets us really get to see who’s up and coming in our industry, and the many special attributes they bring. It doesn’t get any better than to make it possible for these exceptional individuals to make their mark.”
