Lakeland, FL — In observance of Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month in May, the Watson Clinic Foundation is pleased to host free skin evaluations at Watson Clinic South and Watson Clinic Highlands in Lakeland.
“Skin cancer is one of the most common of all cancers, yet it’s also amongst the most preventable when detected at an early stage,” says Watson Clinic Foundation Program Coordinator Peggy Garrett. “This free event caters to members of our community who have not yet established their own dermatologist. Attendees will benefit from a routine skin examination performed by highly experienced dermatology providers.”
The screenings will take place from 9 am – 12 pm on Saturday, May 4 at two Watson Clinic locations in south Lakeland. Board-certified dermatologist Luke M. Miller, MD will offer the screenings from Watson Clinic Highlands at 2300 E. County Road 540A, while board-certified dermatologist Linwood D. Bond, Jr., MD and certified physician assistant Jason A. Kumlien, PA-C will provide free screenings at Watson Clinic South, which is located at 1033 N. Parkway Frontage Road.
Participants are asked to wear loose-fitted clothing and no makeup to assist in the screening process.
Appointments are required to take part in the screenings. Call 863-904-2656 to schedule your appointment at either of these two locations.
