ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Smart Healthy Living is hosting a seminar designed to give those older than 50 information on dietary changes they can make and alternative medicines to cope with diseases.
The event takes place April 12 from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Five Towns Magnolia Auditorium, 7950 58th Ave. N. in St. Petersburg, Fla. Sarah Krieger, a registered dietician and nutritionist, will speak on a “Fit Meal Plan: Making Healthy Changes in a Practical Way.” Acupuncture Physician, and functional oriental medicine Stephen Belmore will discuss, “Secrets of Longevity: Coping With Diabetes.” His talk will discuss natural and effective ways to lower blood sugar levels. Sara Im, owner of Smart Healthy Living and author of How I Survived the Killing Fields: A Story of Hope, Love and Determination, will be the event host. Arielle Giordano, author of Dancing Your Story From the Inside Out, will provide effective stretching exercises.
“I host these seminars throughout the year because I know what it’s like to go without nutrition,” said Im. “I want to help people live long and healthy lives. These seminars are the way to do that.”
The seminar will have vendors with products and services available.. The vendors will offer health screenings, information and door prizes. Food and refreshments will be provided. Live Better Health Center, Clear Captions, United Vein Centers and Welcome Home Family Chiropractic and Wellness Center have agreed to sponsor the event.
