For the past 105 years, the Rotary Club of Tampa has been woven into the fabric of this great city, led by civic and business leaders with a heart for Service Above Self. In April of 1914, the Rotary Club of Tampa was chartered by the Rotary Club of Jacksonville as the 2nd club in Florida and the 117th worldwide. The Rotary Club of Tampa is set to mark our 105-year milestone through a variety of events during the month of April.
History Exhibit: From April 4 through June 30, our club history will be featured in the community case at the Tampa Bay History Center, where all center visitors will see a timeline of the Rotary Club of Tampa’s history and our positive impact on the City of Tampa (open to the public).
Spring Gala: Our spring gala at the Tampa Bay History Center on April 9 will celebrate our anniversary and give members and guests a first glance at the Rotary Club of Tampa (reserved for members & invited guests).
History Panel: On April 16, our club luncheon will feature a history panel of members, past and present, who will reflect on club memories from their perspective. The panel will be moderated by the Honorable Bob Martinez, former Florida governor and Tampa mayor (reserved for members & invited guests).
Annual Giving Day: Our April 23 luncheon will be a celebration of all of our grant partners for the 2018-2019 year at our annual Giving Day with presentations and awards for grant recipients (reserved for members & invited guests).
