Spring Hill, Florida (March 25, 2019) – Access Health Care Physicians, LLC, announces that Pariksith Singh, MD, CEO and founder of Access Health Care Physicians, LLC, was invited this year to speak at the annual Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) conference in Las Vegas. Dr. Singh’s presentation was entitled “Building a High Performing Accountable Care Organization: A Case Study.” In addition to founding Access Health Care Physicians, LLC, Dr. Singh has also founded Integral Health Care an Accountable Care Organization (ACO). Dr. Singh was asked to discuss how his Accountable Care Organization had become successful and been able to provide a high level of care.
In the presentation Dr. Singh noted the complexity of an ACO: “In order to effectively operate as an ACO there is a significant amount of interoperability that must exist. This includes communication among providers, tracking care of patients, and understanding what the organization is aiming to accomplish. With this, a substantial amount of infrastructure must exist.”
Dr. Singh emphasized that a key component to the accomplishments of Access Health Care Physicians and its ACO Integral Health Care is the dedication to foster the network of information. “We have allocated large amounts of resources to an effective and operable EMR (electronic medical records) building our own data warehouse and developing software specific to our practices. With these components, providers can easily track the course of care for patients. Additionally, they can easily pull data and report on multiple aspects of the practice. This investment toward internal data management provides vital access and understanding for the organization as they continue to optimize their effort and expand.”
Dr. Singh next emphasized that continuous care isn’t the only thing that must remain accountable. “One of the most efficacious aspects of this ACO success is the engagement and buy-in from our physicians. Whether it is a leadership role or simply seeing patients, providers of this organization must have a good comprehension of what it takes to be successful in such a model.” Singh stated that they are looking for three main traits in someone who is joining their team: integrity, attitude or mindset, and skill or willingness to learn. Providers must be willing to meet quality measures, try new approaches, follow standards and guidelines and ultimately ask questions. “Of course, no one is perfect, but the most meaningful qualification in this perspective is the willingness of the individual. With these attributes, members of the group can have open dialog around what it takes to operate proficiently,” he stated.
The MGMA in commenting on the lecture stated, “As we see more incentivized tactics for the ACO model, it is beneficial to exam the Access Health Care Physicians’ model.” At the root of their success is a strong foundation for network and resources.”
This can be carried over into many other ventures as we move to more accurately and efficiently care for our communities,” said Dr. Singh.
