TAMPA – ForCare Medical Group in Tampa has added primary care physician and LifeStyle medical expert Dr. John Paul J. Sosa, MD to its unique team of board-certified doctors.
Dr. Sosa has begun seeing patients at ForCare Medical Center West at 4915 W. Ehrlich Rd. Tampa, 33624. He will switch locations to ForCare Medical Center East in April, when the innovative new 30,000-square foot medical facility is scheduled to open at 15416 North Florida Ave., Tampa, 33613.
Dr. Sosa specializes in Preventive Medicine and is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and by the American College of LifeStyle Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Sports Medicine, among other organizations, and is associated with St. Joseph’s Hospitals.
With a keen interest in serving the public, Dr. Sosa has served as a volunteer physician at the Midwest Medical Mission in Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic, at the Detroit Free Press Marathon, and for several sports teams.
Dr. Sosa is Board Certified in Family Medicine. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in St. Maarten and his Bachelor of Science in Anthropology-Zoology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Following a General Surgery Residency at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland in Pontiac, Mich., Dr. Sosa completed a Family Medicine Residency at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Mich., where he was chief resident.
