Tampa, Fla. (March 19, 2019) – GTE Financial, one of Florida’s largest credit unions, has named Tina Fischer to its Supervisory Committee.
“We are excited to have Tina Fischer join GTE Financial in this important role,” said Brian Best, President and CEO. “Her years of experience in academia and consulting work to develop solutions for companies of all sizes, make her an exceptional choice as we continue to expand the credit union’s footprint and enhance our products and services.”
GTE’s Supervisory Committee’s role is to ensure that the not-for-profit credit union’s financial records are in order and that internal controls are in place to protect the assets of the credit union and its members.
“I’ve been a proud member of GTE Financial since 2011 and my family and I have been a member of a credit union in Gainesville, FL almost since birth,” Fischer said. “GTE is a respected leader in our community. It takes great pride in giving back to their members and our community. I am honored to have the opportunity also to give back and deepen my relationship with an entity I view as playing an integral part in making positive changes in our Tampa Bay community.”
