ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (Feb. 28, 2019) – The Dawson Academy, which provides a pathway to clinical mastery for dental professionals, has added a new online program to its course offerings. The course helps dental practices improve case acceptance with a systematic approach to patient communication.
The program will be taught by The Dawson Academy’s new visiting faculty member, Dr. Paul Homoly, CSP. During the course, dentists and their teams will learn how their communication and presentation of treatment plans can help patients understand their dental issues and feel ready to move forward with treatment.
The yearlong online program, “Making it Easy for Patients to Say ‘Yes’ with Dr. Paul Homoly,” begins on March 5, 2019. The curriculum is designed to prepare the entire dental practice for their role in patient communication and case acceptance.
During the course, attendees will learn how to:
● Offer complete care without causing “sticker shock”
● Influence patients while never sounding like a salesperson
● Recommend treatment in half the time, with twice the impact
● Educate patients without losing their interest
● Present fees without feeling uncomfortable
“Paul’s program provides a learnable approach to patient communication and case acceptance, which can transform a dental practice,” said Joan Forrest, executive vice president of innovation and business development for The Dawson Academy. “His easy-to-follow process allows dentists and their teams to effectively and ethically bring their patients to saying ‘yes’ to treatment.”
Each monthly video lesson and accompanying study guide is designed to fit within a one-hour team meeting. After each meeting, each dentist and their team are ready to put the skills and lessons learned into action.
Dr. Homoly will also host monthly live mentoring conference calls to sustain the momentum of learning. These calls are an opportunity for students to ask questions and share best practices and success stories.
Dr. Homoly, one of the top communication coaches, consultants, and speakers in dentistry, joined The Dawson Academy as a visiting faculty member in 2019. He’s a comprehensive, restorative dentist, acclaimed educator, and author with over 30 years’ experience, and he’s known for his innovative and practical approach to dentistry.
