(Bradenton, FL) A major milestone for Bradenton’s Tara Golf and Country Club. This week the picturesque golf course community is marking its 30th anniversary. It’s a real triumph when other clubs on the Suncoast are struggling and cutting services.
Instead, Tara—with its championship 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, pool, fitness gym and 13 neighborhoods —is still vibrant and thriving. The country club underwent a complete renovation in 2014 and is scheduled for additional enhancements such as a short game area for chipping and putting, a pickle ball court, a bocce ball court and upgrades to the pool area.
The secret to success? “It’s a never-ending commitment to the community and the club members. We are continually upgrading the facilities and the services provided,” explains Tara General Manager Tony Greising.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary, the club is featuring activities every day this week (February 25 – March 2) ranging from special lunches and dinners to golf and tennis events. The grand finale celebration on March 2nd will include a fireworks display. Events are open to club members only.
Tara is an 1100-acre development located off of State Road 70 just west of I-75. The community was one of the first large developments in eastern Manatee County, created by a division of Power Corporation, a Naples-based real estate development company.
Today Tara is home to a mix of more than a thousand residential properties, including single-family homes, veranda-style condos, paired villas and multi-story terrace condos with elevator access.
Tara’s centerpiece is a golf course that was originally designed by Ted McAnlis. The golf course was redesigned by Ron Garl in 2009 as part of a $7.5 million renovation that included the clubhouse. Membership to the private country club is mandatory and included with each lot or parcel.
Tara Golf and Country Club is located at 6602 Drewry´s Bluff in Bradenton, Florida. For more information call Linda Calderone at 941-756-7775 ext 229.
