Organizers of the 2019 Orlando Caribbean Festival Announce Line Up That Promises to be an Afro Caribbean Continental Cultural Convergence

February 25, 2019 by Post

ORLANDO, FL (February 20, 2019) – Though the Orlando Caribbean Festival is set to take place in less than three weeks, on Saturday, March 16th, 2019, organizers are still adding to an already star-studded line up. Nigerian sensation DAVIDO, an international singer, songwriter and producer has been confirmed as yet another headliner to the music and cultural extravaganza. The singing savant has made quite a name for himself across the globe after winning the British MOBO Awards for best African act. DAVIDO also became the first from the Continent to perform live at the popular awards show. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, the hit-maker now calls Nigeria home and has been consistent chart topper with a slew of singles such as, “Dami Duro”, “Gobe”, “Skelewu” and “Aye”, just to name a few. OCF organizers wanted to offer the City of Orlando a one of a kind event, the likes of which has never been seen before with absolutely no resource spared to make it happen. One night, one stage, one EPIC SHOW, is this year’s motto.

DAVIDO will join a group of diverse Caribbean performance all-stars including the acclaimed Queen of Dancehall, the award winning and VH1’s Love and Hip Hop Atlanta breakout character, Spice, who is already touting that she will deliver an electrifying performance. As if that were not enough, sharing the stage will be Trinidadian soca maniac, Iwer George, as well as the scintillating sounds of Haitian bands Kai and Vayb. Fresh from the Bahamas will be the soothing voice of soca singer, Tara Lynn. From Puerto Rico will be Reggaeton’s very own, Cruz Rock, as well as the incomparable Kompa bands, Klass and Harmonik and much more.

Tickets are now on sale at www.OCF2019.Eventbrite.com. The fair opens at 12:00 pm and the festival begins at 3:00 pm. Thanks to the partnership of the Central Florida Fairgrounds, admission to the Festival provides access to BOTH the fair and festival. Advanced general admission cost is only $50.00 and VIP tickets $125.00.
