Craig Campbell, Sarah Kirchberg Take On New Roles |
St. Pete/Clearwater (Feb. 22, 2019) – Visit St. Pete/Clearwater, Pinellas County’s Destination Marketing Organization, recently named two new Directors as part of the organization’s growth. Craig Campbell was named Director of Community & Brand Engagement, and Sarah Kirchberg was named Director of Sports & Events. “We’re fortunate to have the experience and talent of Sarah and Craig as part of our amazing leadership team along with our staff, and we are looking forward to them taking on these key positions as we continue to grow the organization,” said VSPC’s Chief Operating Officer Tim Ramsberger. In his role, Craig oversees all major brand activations for the organization—locally, nationally and internationally—as well as manage community relations and strategic partnerships. Craig, who has been serving as VSPC’s Senior Event Productions Manager, started with the organization in 2016 and has overseen the development and implementation of the brand activations program. Last year alone, the team activated at more than 100 events, engaging more than 1.3 million consumers with an emphasis on enhancing awareness of St. Pete/Clearwater. In her role, Sarah manages the sports and events programming initiatives across the destination, in addition to spearheading the retention and growth of sports and events business to generate overnight visitation and economic impact. Sarah, who’s been serving as VSPC’s Senior Business Development Manager of Sports & Events, started with VSPC in 2017 and led efforts in securing ESPN Events’ inaugural St. Pete/Clearwater Elite Invitational softball tournament, which took place last weekend. In addition, Sarah served on the regional committee for the UANA Junior Water Polo Championships. She completed her Certified Sports Event Executive (CSEE) in 2018, is on the Connect Sports Marketplace Advisory Board and is an active member in the National Association of Sports Commissions. |
