Healthy St. Pete to shine a light on health in the Sunshine City
St. Petersburg, FL (February 2019) – Healthy St. Pete, an initiative of the City of St. Petersburg and a division of the St. Petersburg Parks and Recreation Department, is hosting the 3rd Annual Fit City 5K & 1 Mile. The family-friendly night run and walk will be illuminated by a dazzling array of lights and glow kits.
Saturday, April 6 at 7 p.m.
North Straub Park
400 Bayshore Dr. NE.
In addition to the race, there will also be an interactive wellness zone from 5-6:30 p.m. and a glow zone from 7:30-9 p.m. at North Straub Park that includes free activities for all ages before and after the race.
“We know our citizens want to be healthier and live healthier and more fulfilling lives. We all want to be a part of a community, a city and a nation where no one is precluded from making healthy choices,” said Deputy Mayor Kanika Tomalin, City Administrator. “That is, in part, why we created the Healthy St. Pete Initiative, as well as this race. I hope you’ll join us,”
5K registration includes a free t-shirt and glow kit if registered by March 22. Registration is $20 until April 5 and $25 on race day. Registration for the 1 Mile Run/Walk is $5 both presale and race day. Racers can register at www.HealthyStPeteFL.com.
