Ian Black Real Estate, Sarasota’s premier commercial real estate brokerage firm, recently established the Ian Black Real Estate Charitable Foundation with Gulf Coast Community Foundation.
“Investing in our community and giving to the many deserving charities here is important to our firm,” said Ian Black, partner and founder of Ian Black Real Estate. “We’re proud to have reached a point where we could establish this fund and make a bigger impact with our charitable efforts.”
The Ian Black Real Estate Charitable Foundation is a donor-advised fund. It allows partners at Ian Black Real Estate to make contributions to the fund on behalf of the firm, and then issue grants from that fund to 501(c)(3) nonprofits of their choice.
To date, the Ian Black Real Estate Charitable Foundation has made donations to All Faiths Food Bank, The Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee, Asolo Repertory Theatre and The Players Center for Performing Arts, as well as many other worthwhile community charities.
“We love when business organizations engage in this kind of philahtorpy,” said Veronica Brady, Senior Vice President for Philanthropy at Gulf Coast Community Foundation. “With this donor-advised fund, Ian Black Real Estate can support causes they care about.”
Gulf Coast Community Foundation manages over 900 charitable funds and has invested over $300 million in grants to nonprofits. The foundation manages accounting, tracking, and issuing grants and gift letters on behalf of its funds.
