February 23 event will reveal model units at pre-retirement community
TAMPA – (February 13, 2019) Del Webb Bexley, Tampa’s newest 55+ active adult community, is set for its grand opening celebration on February 23 from 12-4 p.m. The event will include the debut of the 850-home Land O’Lakes development’s six model homes, which has been much-anticipated since their August 2018 groundbreaking.
Located at 5114 Beacon Light Point, Del Webb Bexley’s residences are designed for pre-retirement and retiring boomers looking to maintain intellectually, socially and physically active lives. The project, which broke ground in February 2018, will be the first Del Webb community to be built from the ground up in the Tampa Bay area since 1960.
“After much anticipation, we are excited to take the next step and officially introduce our community to the public,” said Sean Strickler, PulteGroup Division President of West Florida. “Del Webb Bexley is more than a home. It’s a community and a lifestyle and our team is ready to bring the ultimate experience to residents looking to stay healthy, active and social.”
Sitting on 489 acres, Del Webb Bexley will offer 18 single family detached home designs, including the Martin Ray, Pinnacle, Stonewater and Taft Street, with between 2-5 bedrooms, 2-4.5 bathrooms and 2-3 car garages. Home prices start at $237,990.
At the center of the community sits the 19,000 square-foot, multi-million dollar coastal style clubhouse, The Meridian at Bexley. A virtual fly-through of the clubhouse and property can be found here. Residents will also have access to $14 million worth of amenities, including a large social room, Crow’s Nest Café offering snacks, beer, coffee and wine, as well as a dog park and resort-style community pool. To meet the active adult lifestyle, a fitness area, pickle ball and tennis courts, community garden and recreational activities planned by a full-time lifestyle director will also be available.
Del Webb will be one of the largest builders within Bexley, a 1,825-acre master-planned community developed by Newland Communities approximately 20 miles northwest of downtown Tampa. In addition to Del Webb’s private amenities, Bexley residents can enjoy a lakefront club and café and will have the option to purchase, for an additional fee, access to Bexley’s many all- ages amenities including 10 miles of multi-use Avid Trails™, parks and play areas, soccer field, dog park, two resort-style pools, bike park and a robust schedule of social events.
