 “Star Fire” blown glass

Please join us at Red Cloud Indian Arts in welcoming award winning Taos/Onkay/Owingeh Pueblo, Glass Artist Ira Lujan.

Ira incorporates Native American themes and influences along with ancient techniques to form his blown glass creations.

“I was fascinated by the movement of hot glass, the way it captures light, and the potential of creating Native Art with this exciting new medium.” ~Ira

Meet the artist and view his Native American Expressions in Glass

Artist reception Friday March 29, 2019, 5 to 10 pm

Ira will also be available Saturday 10 -5, Sunday Noon to 5pm.

–       Also on Exhibit will be “Spirit Dreams” cast glass, by Susan Gott

“My work embodies an interest in mythological imagery, symbolism, and philosophies from historic and ancient cultures.” ~ Susan

The resulting glass, with primitive qualities and metaphors, are a visual representation of the cycles of life. The archetypal images that emerge explore spirituality, existence, humor, love, magic, dualities and the beauty of life.

“Red Cloud is proud to bring the opportunity to see Native artist Ira Lujan as part of the Glass Art Society Conference 2019”.
