February 8, 2019 by Post

SARASOTA COUNTY – Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources announce the return of the popular sunrise beach walks at Siesta and Nokomis beaches, running every Wednesday through March 27.   These fun, energizing walks require a one-time registration fee of $5, which includes an event T-shirt and punch card. Check in before or after a minimum one-mile walk to have your card punched between 8-9:30 a.m. Siesta Beach walkers will register and check in at the main pavilion, 948 Beach Road. Nokomis Beach walkers will register and check in at the plaza classroom, 100 Casey Key Road. After completing four walks, participants will receive a goody bag filled with items that encourage an active lifestyle.
