announced the addition of a residential component to his successful brokerage. Mr.
Barkett has personally been involved in numerous transactions from land to office
buildings, retail centers, hotels while assisting buyers and sellers in complex transactions.
A Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) as well as a recognized expert witness on
valuation matters in both district and federal courts, Mr. Barkett has been able to lend
value to his broad-based clientele. He has done so over the course of his 28 years of
experience including nine years in New York City as well as the last 19 years in Tampa Bay.
Mr. Barkett notes: “There is no doubt that the Tampa Bay area has seen a renaissance in
the residential sector over the last several years. Consequently, we are very proud to
announce that Mr. Oscar Marti, a 25-year veteran in the residential real estate industry will
be partnering with us to establish and run a first-class division, Barkett Realty Residential”.
Mr. Marti has spent most of his career in the South Florida market and has lived in Saint
Petersburg for the last two years, most recently as managing broker for Pinellas County’s
top luxury real estate brokerage Additionally, Mr. Marti served as sales director in South
Florida representing new developments amassing approximately $2 Billion in closed sales.
