Hollywood Hamilton Clothing Releases New Streetwear Fall/Winter Collection in Packed House Fashion Show
12/23/18 -To close out 2018, in an open-air, 10,000 sq. ft. venue on historic 7th St. in Ybor, you became a guest at a funeral you never thought you would be going to. Picture a rooftop terrace overlooking a New York City warehouse. Picture lined chairs, prayer cards, grass, rose petals, a deep hole, and a casket ready to be lowered. This was the scene of the Hollywood Hamilton Clothing Fall/Winter 2019 Fashion Show.
The XOXO Art & Fashion Show by Hollywood Hamilton Clothing and Tampa Artist, Jason Skeldon., was held in Ybor City, FL, and hosted by District Magazine of Tampa. The ‘HH’ models hit the turf runway, which was covered in rose petals, and paid homage to a black and white zig-zag casket. What you found was the pattern was a staple in their season’s collection. The casket sat at the end of the runway next to a matching shovel sitting in a mound of dirt creating the image that it was about to be lowered into the ground. Models hit the urban runway in the brand’s latest pieces, laying single roses on the hand painted casket, which was also created by brand owner, George ‘Hollywood’ Hamilton. Over 40+ men’s and women’s pieces were showcased throughout the event from bright, 80s inspired patterns to custom 1 of 1 limited edition black leather jackets.
The casket and roses symbolized the deeper meaning behind our brand’s movement. As they are known for producing limited-edition, small batch collections, when the collections are sold out, they are ‘dead and gone.’ But just like their show, from that comes new life, new styles, and newly inspired Collections. The symbolism of rebirth and death within streetstyle tied deeper into the streetwear movement as all the songs featured during the show were created by rappers who have passed away over the recent years who all had their own unique interpretations of fashion. The sounds of Mac Miller’s latest album, XXXTentaction, and Lil’ Peep paired their unique sounds from grunge to EDM, the pieces matched the mood each song set.
The show featured a full pop up shop designed entirely in tandem to the show where all the latest collection pieces were now to release.
