Gov. DeSantis’ recent water policy reform announcement lauded by new WateReuse Board
Tallahassee, FL, Jan. 28, 2019 – WateReuse Florida announced its 2019 Board of
Directors at its December Board Meeting. The nonprofit organization that works to
educate the public on the importance of reusing water and advocates for policy, laws
and funding to increase water reuse in Florida will be led in 2019 by incoming President,
Lynn Spivey, the Director of Utilities for the City of Plant City. Other members of the
leadership team include:
President Elect – Robert Beltran, Hydro Solutions Consulting
Secretary/Treasurer – Mark Elsner, South Florida Water Management District
Past President – Randy Brown, City of Pompano Beach Utilities
“After hearing about Gov. DeSantis’ major water reform initiatives for the next four
years, we at WateReuse Florida are very optimistic for the future of water reuse in our
state,” said Lynn Spivey, Director of Utilities for Plant City and the 2019 President of
WateReuse Florida.
The remainder of the Board of Directors is made up of trustees from around the state.

WateReuse Florida is the Florida division of the national WateReuse Association. The
mission of the WateReuse Association is to educate the public on the importance of
