Sarasota, FL – January 21, 2019 – The Central West Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (CWC-FPRA) announces a call for entries for its annual “Image Awards” competition, which recognizes outstanding communications programs, presentations and campaigns. This year’s theme is “All that Glitters is Gold.” Entries are open to marketers, communicators, graphic designers, advertising gurus and public relations masterminds. Everyday projects that garnered success are encouraged and welcome.
The competition is open to businesses or residents in Sarasota, Manatee and Desoto Counties regardless of membership affiliation with FPRA. The local FPRA chapter Image Awards competition is the precursor to FPRA’s Golden Image Awards where the winners participate in a state-wide competition.
The competition includes four divisions, with multiple categories within each division:
Division A – PR and Marketing Programs which include projects like community relations, crisis communication, special events, public service or internal communications
Division B – Printed Tools of PR and Marketing include projects like press releases, annual reports, brochures, magazines and specialty items
Division C – Digital Tools of PR and Marketing include social media, GIFs, videos, apps and online promotional tools
Student Projects
Entries can vary from a print brochure, commercial, website, and viral video to a full public relations campaign. Winners will also be evaluated based on evidence of sound research and planning as well as having met the highest standard of production, execution and evaluation of results and budget.
The deadline for entries is 5:00 p.m. on March 1, 2019; cost is $45/CWC-FPRA members, $60/non-members, $20/students. “The Image Awards are for any creative professional or college student who is proud of their communications, marketing or public relations projects in the last year. From GIFs to apps, to website redesigns, brochures or promotional items, there is a category for everyone in this competition. It’s time to receive the recognition you deserve for a job well done,” says Elise Ramer, director of Image Awards for the CWC-FPRA, and a repeat Image Award winner, including the 2015 recipient of the prestigious Grand All Image Award at the local and statewide levels.
