
Spring Hill, Florida (January 10, 2019) – Oak Hill Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Katie Stacy as Director of Public Relations & Communications. Mrs. Stacy was promoted from her position as Marketing Coordinator, which she served since June 2013. She came to Oak Hill Hospital from the Early Learning Coalition of Pasco and Hernando Counties (PHELC) where she served as Communications Specialist from July 2011 to June 2013.
Mrs. Stacy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in public relations from the University of South Florida. Mrs. Stacy served as both a mentored intern and public relations consultant for Vince Vanni & Associates, Inc. until obtaining her position as Communications Specialist for PHELC.
Katie Stacy has been recognized as a leader in Hernando County throughout her adult life. She was recently recognized as the HCA Frist Humanitarian Award winner at Oak Hill Hospital for her many contributions to the community. She has been a vital part of the hospital team with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and has already served as past president of the Kiwanis Club of Brooksville Ridge. She plays a significant role in several community initiatives and events, such as the Great Hernando Weight Loss Challenge, LifeSouth’s Five Points of Life Foundation Kids’ Marathon, Kids’ Safety Fair, and many others. Mrs. Stacy has a reputation as an organizer, communicator, and a motivator.
She is a graduate of the Introduction to Healthcare Supervision class conducted by CEO Mickey Smith, and is a participant in the Hospital Ambassador Program (graduating in February 2019). She has also completed Leadership Citrus class of 2015, and served as a Board Member of the Hernando National Alliance on Mental Illness.
