
State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) music students will showcase their talents during an annual concert that previews a statewide scholarship competition at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24 in SCF’s Neel Performing Arts Center, 5840 26th St. W. SCF music professors select the musicians who perform in the student artist showcase and go on to compete Jan. 31 at the Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) competition.
Ten of the top music students at SCF will perform various pieces. They are:
• Ian Belloise, horn.
• Ben Johnson, trumpet.
• Joshua Adler, viola.
• Marcus Anderson, cello.
• Emmanuel Montalvo, jazz alto saxophone.
• Luca Stine, jazz trumpet.
• Kevin Moroney, baritone voice.
• Lyndsey Culbreath, soprano voice.
• Mallory Hornberger, piano.
• Christina Diederich, piano.
This concert, presented in a formal setting, gives the students an opportunity to perform before a live audience prior to their competition. It also is an opportunity for the public to hear some of SCF’s most talented music students.
