(Tampa, FL—Jan. 4, 2019)—The congregation of Grace Church Tampa Palms is celebrating 27 years serving the area by consecrating a beautiful new sanctuary and community hall Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11 a.m. The Rt. Rev. Dabney T. Smith, fifth bishop of the Southwest Florida Episcopal Diocese will lead the service which is open to all parishioners and community members.
The church transformation, affectionately called “Amazing Grace,” is ready for the community to enjoy after four years of careful planning, design and construction. Both the sanctuary and Canterbury Hall are available for community groups and special events.
“The Episcopal Anglican tradition blends Roman Catholic and Reformed Christian themes. It is often called the middle way or via media. This makes Grace a comfortable church home and gracious host for people of all faiths,” said Canon Benjamin Twinamaani, Grace Church Tampa Palms rector. “The expanded building and grounds offer an inviting location for everyone to enjoy. In fact, a Christian women’s group and aa wedding or two have already inquired.”
