This innovative total knee replacement solution, designed to relieve the pain caused by joint degeneration due to osteoarthritis.
The procedure utilizes advanced software and instrumentation to tailor each procedure to the patient’s unique anatomy in order to optimize implant fit and alignment. Technology eliminates the need for costly CT scans or MRIs and allows the surgeon to perform “virtual” surgery on a digital model before any bone is cut. A robotic cutting guide is then used by the surgeon to make the planned bone resections, helping to ensure accuracy. The surgeon maintains control and decision-making regarding the total knee replacement while providing a customized, patient-specific surgery. This allows for a less invasive surgical technique, compared to traditional knee replacement surgery, which may promote a quicker recovery.
