Miles Elementary Students to Get Free Bikes and More

WHAT:     Bicycle safety demonstration, free helmet and bike certificate distribution

DETAILS:  The 46 Miles Elementary students in grades K through five with the best attendance in each class will receive certificates for free bicycles from WellBuilt Bikes and free bicycle helmets from University Area CDC. The school’s entire student body will participate in a workshop about bicycle safety, presented by both WellBuilt Bikes and University Area CDC.

RD Management contributed funds WellBuilt Bikes to help cover the bike refurbishing expenses.

Celebrating its 20th year of serving the community, University Area CDC offers support for thousands of Tampa residents through youth programs, adult education and resource assistance. Its primary mission is the redevelopment and sustainability of the at-risk areas surrounding University of South Florida’s Tampa campus. WellBuilt Bikes is a nonprofit bike shop working to create freedom and access by making affordable, reliable transportation available to all.
