Sarasota, FL – December 6, 2018 – Coastal Behavioral Healthcare Inc. (CBH) announces the retirement of CEO John H. “Jack” Minge III. Minge joined CBH in 2013 with more than 25 years of executive experience leading behavioral healthcare and family safety providers throughout Florida. In January, Minge intends to relocate to Jacksonville, FL, to enjoy quality time with his wife, daughter and grandchildren. The CBH board will manage the operations of the organization with the current governing structure during the leadership transition.
“In my time with CBH, we have had the opportunity to build a highly effective team. Working alongside these passionate, thoughtful individuals is why we have been capable of significantly improving the outcome of those in our care,” said Minge. “I’m very optimistic the next CEO will bring great leadership, service and financial assistance to our community.”
Those who work with Minge agree he will be missed for how he has promoted positive communication throughout the organization. “Jack inspires an environment of friendship and teamwork,” said Marlene Hauck, Director of Development.
In his time leading CBH, the organization has collaborated with more than 20 state and private organizations, including DCF, First Step of Sarasota, Sarasota County Schools and the Sarasota County Sheriff to provide access to those in need of substance abuse or behavioral healthcare. Minge credits these valuable partnerships as his and the organization’s greatest accomplishments.
Board chairperson Kerry Kirschner assures that CBH’s staff will continue to surpass Minge’s goal of working with local organizations to offer resources and professional assistance to Sarasota County.
“The problems of substance abuse and mental illness have been well documented in Sarasota, and with total community support of our employees and management team, we are confident that we will continue to improve the lives of many Sarasotans,” said Kirschner.
