Tampa, Florida (December 5, 2018) – Modelithics has released version 18.3 of the Modelithics COMPLETE+3D Library for HFSS. This library contains a large selection of highly scalable models for capacitor, inductor and resistor families from many popular vendors, plus an expanding collection of Modelithics’ new 3D geometry models for various types of components, including filters, inductors, capacitors, connectors and more. Version 18.3 adds 31 new part value-, pad- and substrate-scalable models and six (6) new full wave 3D electromagnetic models.
New scalable circuit models include those for AVX, Murata, Passive Plus, Presidio, and Würth Elektronik capacitor families, Würth Elektronik inductors, and the first models from Modelithics’ new Vendor Partner (MVP), International Manufacturing Services (IMS). Three IMS resistor family models are now available, with more in development. Five new 3D EM models are available for Coilcraft inductors in the B0xT series and a new 3D EM RJR Technologies package model has also been added. This library version introduces compatibility with the latest ANSYS release of HFSS v19.x.
A second new product offering has been released along with the COMPLETE+3D Library. The Modelithics mmWave & 5G library, first introduced earlier this year in a different format, is now available for use with ANSYS HFSS. All models in the mmWave & 5G Library are validated to at least 30 GHz, with some validated as high as 125 GHz! This collection has been designed for the quickly growing area of wireless design within the recently approved mmWave 5G frequencies.
