TREASURE ISLAND, Fla. (December 4, 2018) – Those crunchy creamy homemade kettle chips covered in bleu cheese, bacon bits and green onions are back on the menu at Sloppy Joe’s on the Beach. The executive chef of this iconic tavern and restaurant, Ernest Hahne, says he created the new menu based on feedback from repeat guests who repeatedly asked for Bleu Cheese Chips.
While many seafood favorites like Fire Cracker Shrimp, Grilled Grouper topped with Crab, and Lobster Mac and Cheese are still on the menu, presentation wise, Sloppy Joe’s has stepped things up a notch with a handsome hardcover menu. Guests are presented with a grey wood-toned book trimmed in leather the color of sea glass. Inserts portray descriptions of menu items with full color photos to tempt the taste buds.
First among the menu pages is a new collection of martinis made with Grey Goose Vodka. Guests can choose to sip martinis flavored with Espresso, Key Lime or Melon, for example, along with the ubiquitous Cosmopolitan. Signature rum drinks, fruity shooters and draft beer are still the top pours as Sloppy Joe’s is, after all, a beach bar.
New to Sloppy Joe’s cuisine are Key West Eggrolls, stuffed with chicken, black beans and corn, a Thai chicken salad, Bourbon glazed salmon, and herb crusted sirloin steak. Gluten free and non-dairy items are identified, along with non-shellfish entrées and appetizers.
Sloppy Joe’s is open daily 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. located at 10650 Gulf Blvd. on Treasure Island. For reservations, call 727-367-1600 or use No Wait on Yelp. Follow us on Facebook @Sloppyjoestreasureisland. ###
