Dr. Javidi has worked to develop new curricula and programs for computer science education with the goal of engaging a wider audience and bridging the gender gap in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields. FUNducation’s mission is to launch, develop and sustain STEAM programs that inspire children to go beyond conventional solutions and become innovative thinkers in STEAM fields. The Andrew Mellon Foundation and New College of Florida are sponsoring the event.
