ST. PETERSBURG, Fla – November 26, 2018 – Tampa Bay Innovation Center (TBIC) is pleased to announce that local entrepreneur Dean Akers has joined their Board of Directors. The Board is comprised of area tech leaders and entrepreneurs dedicated to creating jobs and assisting individuals in reaching their dream of becoming entrepreneurs. TBIC also announces current board member Rob Kapusta’s new appointment as secretary.
Akers is a true entrepreneur with an impressive list of successes under his belt. Starting in the tire business when he was 30, he successfully grew the company, eventually selling it to Don Olson. That was the beginning of Adjunct CEO where he started Akers Construction, and was approached by Ideal Image for help with their strategy. He later became the full-time CEO of Ideal Image and grew the company from a single Tampa location to 65 locations throughout the country. Currently Akers is speaking and helping companies throughout the country seize their opportunities. Recent clients include Airheads Trampoline Centers, Sims Crane Service, Nexxtworks IT, LM Funding and Lifestyle Lift.
