How Does Your Garden Grow? Sowing PR Success with Lynette Werning

November 17, 2018 by Post

CWC-FPRA guest speaker Lynette Werning

The Central West Coast chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association will host a luncheon for communications and PR professionals featuring Lynnette Werning, APR, and President of Blue Water Communications. Werning will discuss her work for Marie Selby Botanical Gardens and how her strategic communications plan played an integral role in promoting the garden’s internationally-acclaimed exhibition, Warhol: Flowers in the Factory. She will talk about how a little planning went a long way in earning international and national media coverage, and demonstrate how effective, advanced media relations planning garnered great results. Finally, Lynette will talk about their big wins (London Times!), big challenges (editor fatigue) and how being prepared opened doors for big opportunities.

The program, which includes lunch, takes place on Wednesday, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. November 28, 2018, at Dattoli Cancer Center (2803 Fruitville Rd) in Sarasota. Cost is $25/CWC-FPRA members, $35/guests; more information and registration is available online at www.cwcfpra.com.
