Dr. Hamoui specializes in urology and interventional radiology. He is board eligible in urology and board certified in interventional radiology and diagnostic radiology. Dr Hamoui is one of only two people in the country/world with dual training in urology and radiology/IR (Interventional Radiology).
Dr. Hamoui returns to Hernando County from Chicago, Illinois, where he served as Chief Resident at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He completed internship in general and urological surgery; residency in diagnostic radiology, fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology, and residency in urology all at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. He graduated his final residency in June 2018.
Dr. Hamoui received his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina, where he also served as a clinical research fellow (National Institutes of Health). He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and he holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Miami in Coral Gables.
Dr. Hamoui is the recipient of 2018 Humanism in Medicine at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the 2017 first place for clinical research at the annual Charles Huggins Resident essay contest of the Chicago Urologic Society.
His personal interests include reading, recreational sports, travel and non-profit medical work. He is a member of the following professional societies: American Urological Association, Society of Interventional Radiology, and the Radiology Society of North America.
