An Evening of Purpose – Proceeds to Benefit PARC

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – PARC announces their 49th Annual Black Tie Ball, An Evening of Purpose, on December 1st, 2018 at the Museum of Fine Arts in downtown St. Petersburg.

With its long-standing history, this event will once again be the premiere charity event of the season. Guests will arrive in PARC’s Winter Wonderland and enjoy drinks, a gourmet dinner, dancing, a silent and live auction, an inspirational program and so much more. Recently voted the best local Soul/R&R/Funk act in the Tampa Bay area, The Black Honkeys will be the entertainment for the evening.

Led by co-chairs Tonya Corder of Duke Energy Florida, Inc. and Suzanne Kyker of Epicor Software Corporation, the all-volunteer nine-member Committee has spent ten months planning the event and hopes to raise funds for PARC. This year’s event will have some unique and exciting auction items, in addition to a stunning 1.59 CTW Diamond statement necklace donated by International Diamond Center for a Chance Drawing. Major sponsors for the Black Tie Ball include Duke Energy Florida, Inc., Raymond James Financial, Old Salt Fishing Foundation, Dutchman Window Cleaning, Paul Manfrey, Bank of Tampa, and Socius Insurance.

Gayle Guyardo, news anchor for News Channel 8, will emcee the event. Proceeds from this event support programs PARC offers to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities such as Life Long Learning, Community Employment, Discovery Learning Center Children’s Services, Transportation and Residential Services.  For 65 years, PARC has been providing services to people in need and has been the leading voice in Pinellas County for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

PARC’s Black Tie Ball takes place on Saturday, December 1st from 6pm to 11pm at The Museum of Fine Arts at 255 Beach Dr. NE, Saint Petersburg, Florida 33701. General Admission Tickets retail for $150 and will be available through www.parc-fl.org.Sponsorships are available. PARC is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide opportunities for children & adults with developmental disabilities to exercise their independence and experience life to the fullest. PARC provides over 40 programs and services to children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families. Established in 1953, PARC currently serves more than 800 people in the greater St. Petersburg area.
