BRADENTON, Fla. — Dr. Justin Sirianni, a pain management specialist with Coastal Orthopedics recently earned board certification in both pain management and anesthesiology from The American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).
The ABA works alongside physicians to promote lifelong learning and advance the highest standards in patient care. Board certification is a professional distinction that symbolizes a physician has met the highest standards of practice in a medical specialty. By earning this board certification, Dr. Sirianni chose to go above and beyond the minimum standard in the areas of pain management and anesthesiology.
“Board certification demonstrates a physician’s exceptional knowledge and expertise,” said Dr. Sirianni. “I wanted my patients to know that I’m dedicated to serving them with the best resources and techniques available.”
After completing his anesthesiology residency at University of Arizona Medical Center, where he also acted as its chief resident for a year, Dr. Sirianni finished an accredited pain management fellowship at Wake Forest University and the Carolinas Pain Institute — one of the most highly regarded fellowships in the world.
“When choosing a pain physician, patients should look for a doctor who has completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) fellowship and completed board certification,” said Dr. Sirianni. “Only those select individuals have been put through the rigorous training and evaluation needed to be able to provide exemplary care.”
He earned his doctorate from Drexel University College of Medicine and received a master’s degree in biology from Chatham University. Dr. Sirianni graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Italian language and literature and a minor in chemistry. In addition to English, he can also speak basic Italian, Spanish and American Sign Language.
Dr. Sirianni joined the staff of Coastal Orthopedics in August 2017. As a pain management physician who specializes in interventional treatments of the neck and spine, Dr. Sirianni focuses on helping patients restore function and get back to being active and doing the things they enjoy most. He is also actively involved in clinical research in the hopes of continuing to offer the newest therapies to his patients.
