The Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) is proud to recognize and honor the veterans in our community and around this great nation at our annual Veterans Day Ceremony. This special event, which is free and open to the public, will be held Friday, November 9, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Poinciana Memorial Park, located in front of APV’s Administration Building at 401 Walnut Street, Poinciana, FL 34759.
Join us at this event for a Color Guard Ceremony in honor of our veterans. Event guests will have the opportunity to tour the mobile unit of the Armed Forced Museum. APV has also partnered with Cornerstone Hospice for this event, which will be providing a certificate to veterans in attendance.
We are pleased to announce that representatives from both the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office will be at the ceremony as well Rep. Mike La Rosa.
Following the ceremony, free hotdogs, chips and soda will be served by the APV staff.
The Annual Veterans Day Ceremony is just one example of the many large-scale events that APV hosts throughout the year for residents and community members to enjoy. The community recently hosted its annual Trunk or Treat Halloween-themed celebration and plans are in the works for holiday-themed events later this year.
