TAMPA (October 30, 2018) — The Gramatica Family Foundation and Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate recently teamed up to raise funds for a home build project for a local combat-wounded veteran. The fundraiser, the Tampa Bay CARESWalk, was a 5k walk/run event with all proceeds going directly to the Gramatica Family Foundation.
The Gramatica Family Foundation chooses a qualifying combat-wounded veteran that lives in Tampa Bay, and the Foundation sponsors the build of a new construction home, completely customized to fit that veterans’ specific needs. The home is provided mortgage-free and is equipped with energy efficient systems. This year, the CARESWalk event resulted in a $45,000 donation to the home build projects.
The check was recently presented to Gramatica from Coldwell Banker. The Foundation then identified a veteran, Ramesh Haytasingh, who will receive the new home, which was announced at a separate fundraiser last week. Ramesh is a former special ops Navy veteran who served eight deployments throughout his career.
