(SARASOTA, Fla.) Oct. 16, 2018 — The Education Foundation of Sarasota County has opened nominations through Nov. 15 for the Sarasota County Schools 2018-19 Alumni of Distinction Award.
The alumni award recognizes a Sarasota County Schools graduate who has achieved career and/or civic success thanks, in part, to district educators who made a lasting impact on their education.
Anyone may nominate eligible Sarasota County Schools graduates for the Alumni of Distinction Award. To be eligible, a nominee must be a graduate of a Sarasota County high school and must be available in person or by video conference on Wed., Dec. 12, 2018, from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
Nominations will be accepted by completion of an online form at EdFoundationSRQ.org/AOD. Nominations are open now and will close Nov. 15.
The Alumni of Distinction Award recipient will be named at the Ignite Education Awards Ceremony where the Sarasota County Teacher of the Year also will be announced.
