During the month of September The ROPE Center was the featured charitable organization at the Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office. The ROPE Center (ROPE stands for “Resource, Outreach, Prayer and Empowerment”) provides shelter, transitional housing, food, clothing and other needs of single men and women. The transitional housing facility, located in Hudson, currently houses 60 individuals who would otherwise be homeless, living in the woods or out on the streets.
“The ROPE Center is forever grateful to be a partner with the office of Mike Fasano and the Pasco County Tax Collectors office,” states Pastor Sue Campbell, Vice President of The ROPE Center. “The funds donated from September’s charity of the month program will be used to shelter and feed disadvantaged residents of Pasco County. We are humbled by the opportunity. Thank you all for your support.”
“It was an honor for our office to feature The ROPE Center as our charity of the month,” comments Tax Collector Mike Fasano. “I’ve said before that this organization is one of Pasco’s hidden gems. Pastors Jim & Sue Campbell get very little attention but yet touch the lives of countless people each and every day. They have taken the dream of helping individuals get off the streets and into permanent housing and have made it a reality. Each and every dollar raised, through the generosity of a very giving community, is used with great care. Thank you to everyone who gave to this incredible program.”
