EDGE District Sip & Strolls Kick Off Second Season with a Smashing, Spooktacular Halloween Stroll October 28

October 9, 2018 by Post

St. Petersburg, FL. (October 9, 2018):
After a successful first season of Sip & Strolls last year, the EDGE District kicks off the second season with a Halloween Stroll on Sunday, October 28, from 12-4 pm. The Stroll will feature drink and food stops at two dozen favorite EDGE District eateries, boutiques, cafes and pubs.
Spanning from MLK to 16th Street and 1st Ave North to 1st Ave South, the EDGE District has become one of the most popular destinations in the region. Along with its many culinary offerings and eclectic boutiques, the district is also home to over thirty murals, providing visitors with a vibrant, art-filled landscape.
At the EDGE District Sip & Stroll, ticket holders can enjoy beverages including craft beer & ciders, craft cocktails, wine, sangria, coffee, kombucha, and kava. The craft beer is all local, from 3 Daughter’s Brewing and Green Bench Brewing. The craft spirits are also local, from American Freedom Distillery. Along with drinks, ticket holders can also sample food at six stops, including the EDGE’s newest restaurant, Dr. BBQ, along with Sweet Charlie’s Ice Cream, Brooklyn South gourmet cheese, Hawkers Asian Street Fare, and Rawkstar Cafe, which is serving up vegan nibbles at the district’s newest luxury apartment building, 930 Central Flats.
Stroll stops feature offerings in the Halloween spirit like “The Rummy Mummy,” “Monster Smash,” “The Grim Reaper,” “Witch’s Brew,” “Dracula’s Kiss,” and more. They will also offer other specials for event guests.
For ticket holders who want to get in the spirit, too, they can come dressed in costume, making them eligible for prizes in a “Guest’s Best” costume contest.
Tickets are $15 until Oct. 26 at www.edgedistrict.org, and $20 the day of the event. All proceeds support the 501(c)(3) EDGE District community improvement projects.
Public parking will be available on the streets as well as at several area lots, including 800 1st Ave. South, 1221 1st Ave. South, and 1250 1st Ave. North. Additional parking will be posted on the district’s mobile app at distrx.com, and at www.edgedistrict.org.

The downtown historic EDGE District is an award-winning Main Street America™ and Florida Main Street that plans, promotes, and advocates to sustain an eclectic, vibrant EDGE District community while preserving its unique character. EDGE District Sip & Strolls are organized by the EDGE District Main Street to offer guests a unique way to explore and experience this beautiful, historic, and vibrant area of downtown St. Petersburg.
