District-Managed Lands to Close in Anticipation of Hurricane Michael

The Southwest Florida Water Management District (District) will close the following District-managed lands Monday, Oct. 8, in anticipation of impacts from Hurricane Michael.

The following properties will be closed until further notice or per specified date:

  • Annutteliga Hammock
  • Chassahowitzka River – Burnt Bridge Road entrance
  • Hálpata Tastanaki Preserve
  • Masaryktown Canal
  • Panasoffkee Outlet
  • Weekiwachee Preserve
  • Withlapopka Park
  • Wysong Park
  • Potts Preserve – will be closed through the ninth and may open on the 10th.

 

Information concerning District-related meeting cancellations and office closures will also be provided to the media and made available on the District’s website at WaterMatters.org.
