October 6, 2018 by Post

Spring Hill, Florida (October 4, 2018) – Oak Hill Hospital welcomes Yelena Tarasenko, DO, to its medical staff. Dr. Tarasenko specializes in family medicine and practices at Nature Coast Center for Primary Care, 11315 Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville, Florida 34613. Call 352-263-2903 to schedule an appointment or visit NCCPrimaryCare.com.

Dr. Tarasenko completed her residency at Largo Medical Center. She received her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton. She received her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where she majored in biology with a minor in psychology.

As a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Tarasenko makes every effort to embody the osteopathic philosophy of incorporating the mind, body, and spirit as a unit into the evaluation of every single patient. She is very passionate about optimizing all the factors that play a role in the well-being of her patients. A first-generation immigrant from the Ukraine and the first physician in her family, Dr. Tarasenko also is a positive outcome of HCA’s commitment to providing post-graduate education in their hospitals throughout the Tampa Bay area.

Physicians who complete residencies in an area tend to remain there. Dr. Tarasenko has resided in the Tampa Bay area since medical school and as a result has chosen to stay and practice in the area with her husband and their young daughter.
